Project Overview

Mount Gambier railway station was constructed in 1887 and served as the junction station for the Naracoorte – Millicent and Mount Gambier-Heywood railway lines in Mount Gambier South Australia. It was last used in 2006, and has since been repurposed into a public community space.

Secon Consulting Engineers has recently completed an amenities upgrade, interior fit-out as well as base-building infrastructure upgrades.  for the heritage-listed Mount Gambier railway station building as well as base-building infrastructure upgrades.  The upgrades enhance the facilities and amenities within the building for the benefit of the community using the space, and is intended to allow small business startups to utilise the various spaces as required.
